I received the following comment via the private messaging facility on the St Neots Community Forums. As such the sender shall remain anonymous. It looks as though it is written by a Town Councillor but I cannot be sure.
I notice in your blog you make much of HDC changing its tune over the South Street toilets. Have you ever considered asking some questions rather than jumping to conclusions. snrednek say: Yes I ask questions all the time. Answers there are few. SNTC have managed to convince HDC to let us reopen and run these toilets because its good for the town to do so. Unlike the old council we dont go public in bitching about HDC, we work in a mature manner to do the right things for the town, and make a good case for things to happen. It would be nice if you could follow this story of yours up with "SNTC do something good for the town, at no extra cost to the tax payer".
Hmm....No extra cost to the Council Taxpayer! That sounds good. But whilst the Council Taxpayers aren't paying any more they could be paying less. And the £55,000 allocated contains within £15,000 for the first year running costs which aren't accounted for in future budgets.
snrednek says: Where I find any Council doing a good job I say so. Each Council has its own website. The Conservatives have their own website. The St Neots Conservatives had their own website and now its gone. The Councils and Political Parties get there views over in the two local newspapers without too many awkward questions. Political Parties can put out leaflets, but rarely do so, during the year. I try and ask the awkward questions. When HDC closed the South Street Toilets one of the reasons given was they were inappropriate for the conservation area. Now they are to be re-opened this means the inappropriate reason was a lie.
In the end these are my views on issues affecting St Neots. If you wish to promote differing views, free resources are out there for you to do so.

Summer Hiatus
Time moves on and this blog has to take a hiatus for the summer. Many things to do and many places to go and see. With the Conservatives settling into St Neots Town Council and not much on the horizon with HDC until the Autumn.
In the mean time I can look up more information on the New Homes Bonus, CIL, The Town Council and the District Council. The hiatus doesn't mean I'm stopping for good. Looking at last summer many items dominated but these aren't going to be repeated this year.
So rather than sit here boring the pants off everyone with bits and pieces about nothing, I've decided to stop the blog, for the moment, and see what happens after the summer. (1st September 2011) Happy holidays!

April Fool's Day: The Answer
The Answer:
April Fool's Day
One this day a whole load of jokes will be played on the public by the news media. I have to say I'm no different. So here are some stories and you have to guess which is one is the lie.snrednek is running for District Council in the Eynesbury ward
I'm not standing for Council. Nor will I. I want to hold the elected to account. There are reasons why I wouldn't stand. Some of these are:
1. I would not be bound by the SECRECY so I would publish everything.
2. I'm out most nights and would rarely turn up to council/committee meetings.
3. I'm not interested in what the public thinks.
Djanogly lives in a 5 storey semi detached house in Little Venice. The property doesn't have a garage nor does it have much garden. The garden is provided by a large open space open to all residents backing on the housing estate. The value of the house is currently badly estimated at: £4,097,419.
Locals pay more tax to cut tax for others. The happy residents annexed from Love's Farm and Eynesbury Manor/Parklands are paying higher taxes to cut the rest of the Council Tax of the St Neots residents.
snrednek is running for District Council in the Eynesbury ward. He is standing for the newly formed Popular Front for St Neots. In announcing his candidature snrednek said: I've had enough of these Councillors running this Town Council so I have now set up a blog called Pravda or Truth. I will be running under the banner of no more muck ups from these people. Up the revolution comrades!
Huntingdonshire District Council spent £573,000 on upgrading the public conveniences only to decide to close them. They tried to get the Town Councils to take over these facilities. SNTC took 2. St Ives 1.
Martin Land said the "Tories remain a coalition between the blatantly self-interested, closet racists, and homophobes.."

A little bit of housekeeping - Comments
A bit of housekeeping for those who wish to comment on my blog using the comment available under each blog. With an up coming general and local elections I'm just want to lay down a few rules so everyone knows where they stands.
As a rule I do publish the vast majority of comments I get in. There have been two comments I haven't published. One was a blatant bit of advertising. The other was abusive.
All comments will be moderated.
My decision is final.
I will not publish anything that is abusive.
I will not publish any advertising unless I agree and get a cut.
As I don't swear on this site, if swear words are used I will delete the comment.
If you wish to make accusations then evidence needs to be provided to back up those accusations.
If you don't like these rules everyone has the ability to set up their own blog. There is nothing stopping you.
This blog is about my opinions mainly on the political scene as it affects St. Neots.
