Supporting Jonathan Salt

Why am I supporting Jonathan Salt instead of UKIP? I want Djanogly to lose. I feel he doesn't want to be accountable for his expenses claims and for this I will not be voting for Djanogly! The next question I had to ask myself was who to vote for instead.

Having been insulted by Martin Land and his "Tories are homophones and racists" remarks I won't be voting Liberal Democrat at the General Election. I thought I would therefore vote UKIP. Jennifer O'Dell was the original candidate but she has stepped down. Instead UKIP have Ian Curtis as their new candidate. As he lives outside the constituency I want to find a candidate who lives in the constituency.
Labour is a no-no. Anthea Cox is representing this rotten Labour Government and lives in Peterborough.
The Greens I just don't agree with.
This leaves Jonathan Salt. He lives in the constituency, works in the constituency and is known in the constituency. I will be voting for Jonathan Salt at the forthcoming general election. Politics costs. Jonathan is asking for money to support his campaign. He is asking for donations.

"You can donate on line or you can send a cheque made out to ICH to Maria Green, Treasurer, First Floor, Chapel House, Chapel Lane, St. Ives PE27 5DX."

Jonathan is asking for a £10 minimum donation towards his campaign. I've just sent my contribution off to his campaign.

He is the only candidate that has come forward to Stop the Privatisation of Hinchingbrooke Hospital. The former Conservative M.P has got 7 questions on his website for us to consider.... None reflecting local issues at all

He should have had an eighth one..... Do You Want or are you happy with Your Hospital being Privatised?
But then it goes against Tory Health Policy...

Yet this is the same man who as a member of St Ives Town Council you held responsible for this: http://snrednek.blogspot.com/2010/01/see-neighbouring-st-ives-town-council.html

One man alone does a Town council not make....

also consider the underhand jiggery pokery that went on by former Town councillors that claimed the St Ives Corn exchange was an unsafe building was in itself unbelievable.....especially as it was earmarked to become part of a UK pub chain should it not have been safe... can't have had that many structural issues could it?..

I back Steve van de Kerkhove, although I'm critical of the Liberal Democrat run St Neots Town Council. I would back Conservative candidates if they weren't of such poor quality. The main thrust of that blog entry was just being "Independent" doesn't necessarily make things better.

I want to vote for a candidate warts and all rather than just a "airbrushed" candidate like Djanogly!
